Martin Avina started his carreer in agrilculure in 2006 working for farms in the Salinas Valley. In 2017, Martin started at ALBA to start the program with .5 acres starting off with Kale and Zucchini, and other various vegetables. In 2022, Avina farms settled in a fertile valley of Aromas, CA where he continues to farm 12 acres in the regenerative ways taught by the ALBA program like diverse crop rotation, flowers in the hedge rows for beneficial organisms, cover cropping and more. Martin is also a leader with in his farm community, with his willingness to teach other farmers and share resources. He is passionate about growing his farm along with his farm community.
